Official Departure

The nation's top law enforcement official, Pam Bondi, announced her stepping down on the start of the week. Bondi stated that the appeals court finding made it impossible for her to lead the department effectively.

"Let no one confuse compliance for surrender," Habba stated. "This battle will now stretch across the nation."

Habba's exit was triggered by a federal appellate panel found that she had been acting without proper authority as the federal prosecutor. This decision is likely to affect numerous prosecutions in the Garden State.
