Soccer Expert Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Forecasts

The Gunners' 10-game victorious run came to an end by the Black Cats before the international break, but will the English top division leaders bounce back against local foes Spurs this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," stated football expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus artificial intelligence, readers and a range of special visitors.

For the twelfth round, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

The singer's new record, the new release, is out on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Murs is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of multiple charity football games over time - but he is not intending a serious return as a player.

"{I recently played in a benefit game the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I still love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."

Murs and his spouse his partner have two children, their daughter and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.

"I won't push football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be coaching their weekend football team," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a period too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our team for two or three seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Top Division Predictions

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their offense is already stronger with Pedro and Delap both back fit.

I still think this game will be fairly tight, though. The Clarets are well organised and their sole home defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

This smells of a 1-1 draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their previous couple games - albeit both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they do look strong again.

The Hammers' only on the road win this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno was still Forest manager.

Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - can the Hammers extending their run under Nuno, or the home side responding?

I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

The guest's outlook: The home team are doing well but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign began, but they have impressed a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four matches.

A family member told me to select Brentford forward Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will likely score again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had much fortune on the road this term, and the Seagulls are consistently decent at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to hit them on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a threat.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

The singer's view: It could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it in reality turns out to be rather close. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge game for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six games.

They have got lots of quality in their squad but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a relegation battle.

As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight season so far.

The away side's performance in the two-all draw with Arsenal last time out was superb. We have not witnessed anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice to do to support the visitors here, because they are obviously capable of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated Chelsea at the close of October.

However I am not do that. Rather, I really need to continue opposing the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive results because they evidently love to defy my predictions.

Considering Fulham's home form, the only side they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be extremely eager for a positive outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three much-needed points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I know the visitors are performing strongly and also that Fulham are on a poor run... but they have still been respectable at home this season. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard one to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but could they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
