The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
