Legal authorities report that a former doctor stands accused of performing assaults involving 38 victims who were patients.
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of dozens of sexual offences – comprising acts against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
A senior prosecutor commented, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, carefully reviewing the evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The charges follow what investigators called a “complex investigation” into reported sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer will appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.
